Have you ever wanted to learn the timeless craft of canning? Now’s your chance to dive into the world of preserving summer’s best fruits and vegetables at their peak. In this technique driven hot water bath canning class, Chef Melissa will demonstrate the essential techniques for creating classic Chicago-style giardiniera, as well as a zesty hot pepper jelly—two perfect examples of how to capture the essence of summer in a jar. Along the way, you'll enjoy a tasting of seasonal appetizers featuring these freshly made preserves. At the end of the class, you’ll take home your very own 16-ounce jar of giardiniera, an 8-ounce jar of pepper jelly, and all the knowledge and recipes you need to start canning at home and enjoy summer flavors year-round.
