Cherry Mostarda
Ingredients
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup red wine vinegar
- 1/4 c. + 1 T. water
- 1½ T. Dijon mustard
- 1 T. dry powdered mustard
- ½ T. mustard seeds
- 1 t. kosher salt
- 1 pound sweet or tart cherries, stemmed and pitted
Instructions
- Mix together all ingredients except cherries in a saucepan and bring to a boil.
- Add cherries and cook over medium-high heat until they are softened, about 20 minutes.
- Refrigerate or preserve.
Notes
- Excellent over pork or on a sandwich as a savory/sweet/tart spread.
